Reeth Ramble 2010 ........... Saturday 26 June

We assemble at the church by the village green.  Come early and explore this beautiful Swaledale village.  At 11.00 am we set off on a circuit of the countryside around Reeth.  The emphasis is on friendship and conversation - absolutely no running is allowed!

It's a gentle stroll around a beautiful 5k course around the edge of the village.  Some years we enjoy hot sun and others we witness the water pouring off the countryside and swelling the rivers.  With this year's event taking place in mid-summer, you can almost guarantee that we'll enjoy the latter!  Either way, it's always great fun and when we return to the start, a light lunch (usually home-made soup or salad, depending on the weather) is awaiting us.  And there is always the famous Reeth ice-cream shop to visit afterwards.

The Reeth Ramble has no entry fee and no charge for lunch.  We leave the nasty money stuff to the fun runners.  BUT we are about raising funds for TASTE, so it is a sponsored event.  Our experience is that setting up a Just Giving page is by far the easiest way to raise decent amounts of sponsorship.  But if you need a paper sponsor form to go round and sign-up your friends, there's one here.
