The TASTE Fete 2005

Our thanks to our friends from Jubal Gospel choir who arranged another super afternoon for us on Whit Monday.

The afternoon had the usual mix of kiddies activities (Joe and Laura's stocks were really popular), barbeque, nail art, face painting, tea & cakes, live music, display of African drumming and a visit from Shrek!
What more could you ask for?

In fact, Shrek was so popular that he has been invited back next year - a kind of Shrek 2.  He is very busy with personal appearances but he has promised to do his best to be with us again!

The afternoon concluded with a skills auction, with the income being divided between Jubal's equipment fund and TASTE.  The usual footie tickets found themselves being sold alongside offers to do a basket of ironing, valet your car, tidy your garden or even cook you a 3 course meal.  We reckon the bargain of the afternoon was a car valet complete with afternoon tea and chocolate cake served while you wait.  Proved to be a snip at just £12.

Our thanks to everyone who helped raise around £650 for
TASTE.
