Fun Run 2010

Weston Park, Sheffield

Alyn Waters Country Park

Reeth Ramble, North Yorkshire

TASTE Fun Runs and Ramble cover around 5k - which is typical of the distance that women and children have to walk to fetch clean drinking water in central Nigeria.  Our events are for all the family.  On the fun runs we have serious competitors (who have their own stop watches on their wrists); we have children who race each other; we have parents who try to beat their children (in the athletic sense); we have young people who are very fit; and we have dog walkers .... oh, forgot about those with pushchairs.  In short, they are for for everyone.

Our Ramble is a very different affair.  Set in glorious Yorkshire countryside, in the heart of Swaledale, we gently stroll around a picturesque location and then retire to a light lunch .... before strolling next door to the famour Reeth Ice Cream Parlour.

The whole point of a fun run is to raise funds.  In 2010, we want to boost our finances to ensure that our new drilling rig can work right through the dry season developing boreholes for communities who suffer enormously when the rains stop.
