Prayer Topics Give thanks that: Andrew, our UK volunteer, seems to have fully recovered from his malaria and unidentified virus. He was airlifted back to UK and has been busy eating. He is now back at work in UK. Tom was kept safe during his encounter with the Fulani. The Lantang project has finally been commissioned! Thank you for praying about it for so long. More details ... Our new rig is proving an amazing help - reducing the time we take to complete a borehole significantly. The new rig has enabled us to start talking seriously with partner organisations. SIM City Ministries reckon to need around 20 boreholes once funding can be identified! The Irish Embassy has agreed to fund one of our rural projects. Tom and Delong's son, Tisserie, is growing and fast turning into an eating machine!!
Please pray that:Peace will be completely restored in Jos and that the city will return to normality very soon. There is an undeniable tension below the surface. Late July could be a potential flashpoint in the North-East. We'll be able to fund the repairs to the compressor - we need to replace the engine at a cost of over £3000. The drilling team will be able to cope with the new rig. Never before have they worked with anything that is so fast or so powerful. This requires a whole new set of skills which they are keen to develop. We'll be able to replace Fudge with a smaller tanker, which will be better suited to the market for water in Jos. The bid recently submitted to the Australian High Commission will be successful. David and Nus will settle and be really effective team members. The community in Chokobo will be able to negotiate with the government for a nurse to staff the clinic. We will glorify God in all the activities of TASTE.
Each month there are joint TearFund/TASTE
prayer meetings in
Sheffield and Reeth (North Yorkshire), where they also remember the work
of the Barnabas Fund.
