Prayer Topics

Give thanks that:

Our staff and Trustees have been kept safe during the recent violence.

Our new rig has completed the first two boreholes - one on sandy terrain, the other through very dense rock - and completed both in record time.

Tom and Delong are finally parents after a very problematical pregnancy.  Tiserie (Evan in English) was born 8 weeks prematurely, weighing in at a massive 2.1k.

David has joined as senior driller; Nus has joined as finance manager; and Andrew, our new volunteer, has arrived safely and settled in really well (despite not being able to work because of the violence).

Please pray that:

Peace will be completely restored in Jos and that the city will return to normality very soon.

Tiserie will grow, start feeding properly and put on weight swiftly.  Pray for Delong; as a new mum with a seriously premature baby, all her nursing skills will be required.

Tom will be able to juggle the demands of being a new dad with those of being a team leader!

Andrew will settle quickly and be a real blessing to the whole Jos organisation but especially to the drilling team.

The bid recently submitted to the Australian High Commission will be successful.

The recently developed links with the Irish Embassy will yield support for a project during 2010.

The community in Chokobo will be able to negotiate with the government for a nurse to staff the clinic.

We will glorify God in all the activities of TASTE.

Each month there are joint TearFund/TASTE prayer meetings in
Sheffield and Reeth (North Yorkshire), where they also remember the work of  the Barnabas Fund.
