Suki's roots are in Wolverhampton, where he was born to Indian parents and where he spent his schooldays.  

Graduating from Sheffield Hallam University in 1993 with a BA in Housing Studies, Suki worked for a number of Housing Associations and The Audit Commission before starting his own consultancy.

Suki and his wife, Louise, live in Sheffield with their daughter Ruby.
