It’s Saturday 20 September …. welcome to the newest Fun Run on the block !
TASTE supporters in Plymouth are meeting together in the picturesque setting of Saltram House to raise funds for the community in Rahwol Chom.
The difference between Saltram House and the houses in Rahwol Chom could not be bigger!
Rahwol Chom is a poor Rural Community in Central Nigeria which needs a clean water supply as their two existing wells are not sufficient to meet the needs of its population. During the dry season there are long queues as one of the wells always dries up. The problem of long queues is exacerbated by the community being situated close to Plateau State Polytechnic which has a large student population.
This Fun Run is part of the fund-raising activities that will result in the construction of two hand pump operated boreholes which, as well as serving the needs of the local community and supporting local construction businesses, will benefit current students and help attract prospective students.
We really need you to get your friends involved with sponsorship and by far the easiest (and least painful) way is by setting up a Justgiving page. That way, you just need to e-mail your friends and they can get out their plastic and support you …job done! And, help to allow you to make the most of the Justgiving resource is here.
But, if you’d prefer the original face:face ask, then we’ve got a downloadable sponsorship form below:
